Raid your kitchen for the best lubricants
Sure, the packaging is nice, but you don’t have to go name brand in order to lubricate yourself. Lube is lube, so I’m here to tell you some of the other options for having a good time. And trust me, they all work.
#1 Safety first. There are some things you should know before using a lubricant. First, make sure you and your partner are not allergic to the product. That would be a disaster.
#2 Know the different types of lube. Regardless of the lube you end up using, there are three types of lubricants: oil-based, water-based, and silicone-based.
Oil-based: You can easily find oil-based products around your house. Maybe you were considering using baby oil or mineral oil as a lube. Well, that would be a disaster if you’re using a latex condom. They’ll eat it up in no time.
Water-based: These are the most common type of lubricant. Because they’re water-based, it’s less likely to cause an allergic reaction and they’re great for sensitive skin. It also doesn’t taste like lube, so it’s more natural.

#4 Aloe Vera. Aloe Vera has been used from natural hair moisturizers to after-sun care, but many people never thought about its lubricating properties. Aloe Vera makes the vaginal skin extremely soft and also prevents yeast infections.
#5 Yogurt. You probably didn’t think of this one, but it’s a great alternative as opposed to conventional lubricants. Don’t get the blueberry flavored ice cream. Keep it plain. Aside from acting as a lubricant, it also doubles as a pH balancer and yeast infection fighter. What more could a girl ask for?
#6 Olive oil. You probably love pouring on the olive oil on your pasta or Greek salad, but you can also use it as a lube. The Greeks were doing something right. However, remember, it is an oil, so don’t use it on latex condoms. I wonder if all Greeks use olive oil for lube…
#7 Coconut oil. Coconut oil can literally be used for anything, it’s the magical fruit that everyone should have a jar of. Not only is it used for skin and hair, guess what, it’s also a lubricant. It’s completely natural so you don’t have to worry about chemicals or parabens.
#8 Saliva. This one never fails. If you’re out of lube, don’t worry, just spit. It looks a little porny, but it’s ol’ faithful, plus it’s free. It’s safe and natural, so you can’t go wrong. However, make sure your partner doesn’t have oral viruses or else you could transfer it down there.
#9 Egg whites. This one probably causes you to raise an eyebrow, but don’t be skeptical. It works. This is usually used to cure your hangover, but you can also use it before the hangover as well. Just make sure to separate the yolk from the whites, you don’t need to make an omelette up there.
#10 Foreplay. Foreplay is a great way to get the vagina to create its own lubrication. Women take longer to arouse than men, so invest some time in foreplay. #15 Do not multi-use massage oil. Massage oil is used for one thing and one thing only: massages. I know you’re probably thinking that you could double the oil as a lubricant. In theory, it doesn’t sound like a bad idea. But, if you’re thinking of saving a couple dollars, well, having a kid is much more than $2. So, don’t cheap out.
