10 Dating Tips for a Guy Who’s Into a Busy Girl

dating a busy girl

Busy women have a lot on their plate, so they can’t be expected to be too flexible with their time. In this case, how can you still date her?

Independent, driven, career-minded women. We have a lot of them these days, running their own companies or businesses, climbing up the corporate ladder, physicians, healthcare practitioners, engineers and architects. Even female students are becoming very competitive these days. You will find a lot of women in different sectors of the work force, and there is no stopping them from their busy lives.

What if you want to date a busy, busy girl?

So what happens when you find yourself incredibly attracted to a woman who’s always on the go? How can you squeeze yourself into her busy schedule, when she can hardly find time for some rest and relaxation? If you ever find yourself dating a busy girl who’s not making excuses to avoid you, here are 10 things you need to keep in mind.

#1 She is not available until after five days. This gets you upset, of course. You want to see her and spend time with her. There is no one else you’d rather spend your free time with, but sadly, she cannot meet you, not yet.

Accept it. Accept the fact that she is busy. This is the first step in dating a busy girl, and do not hold this against her. If you are willing to take up this whole challenge of being with a girl who has her priorities straight, and her schedule full, then accept it. That is the only way that you will be able to stop yourself from sighing every time she says she is busy.

#2 Have you ever tried copying her entire planner? This might just help you. If the girl you are trying to date has a monthly/yearly planner, try to take pictures of it so you can keep track of when she has free time, and so you also know when to ask her out. If your girl keeps her schedule on a smart phone, then try taking screen shots. If she has a personal assistant, then you should know how to pucker up to the assistant to get a copy of at least her schedule for the week. [Read: 12 effective time management tips for couples]

#3 Once you have a copy of her schedule, avoid asking her out on the days when she is the busiest. There may be that one-event like a limited-seating gig or a special office event that you want to take her to, but alas, you’ve found that she’ll be busy until 11 pm. She’s highly likely to reject you at the drop of a hat.

In this case, you can casually mention it to her, but don’t pressure her into cancelling all her plans just to be with you. If you think it’s an even that she’ll really love, DO NOT mention it, as not being able to attend might just dampen her mood.

#4 Do you know what “R and R” means? Rest and relaxation, or rest and recreation. This is what your busy girl needs and this is what you should plan for during those days when she is free the whole day, and can work remotely from whichever destination you both are.

A relaxing day can always start with a great breakfast or brunch, then try to put in a spa day or just some sunbathing. It does not have to involve a lot of activities. In fact, the lesser activities, the better. Your girl has already been through a busy schedule so don’t try to squeeze in too many activities. Just take the day to chill and relax with her. #5 Surprise! You saw on her schedule that she is supposed to have a lunch date with some business people for work and it just so happens that the restaurant is near you office, then why don’t you drop by just to say “hi” and catch a glimpse of her. Of course, you should only do this after the meeting, as barging in when her associates are speaking will only show you in a negative light.

Do not forget to bring her favorite chocolates or that latte that she likes, she will really appreciate seeing a familiar and happy face after the meeting, particularly if it’s a grueling one. [Read: 36 super sweet things you can do for your busy girl]

#6 Working has never been this fun. You know how her late nights go, responding to work e-mails like there’s no tomorrow, or reading reports and analyzing them. This does not require her to be chained to her desk all day or night. In fact, she can do this in your place or in her house. Use this excuse to get together and work on your individual projects.

It will be like a group study back in the university, but only this time, you are thankful that you have her by your side. You can also make it extra special by setting up a comfy couch, lamp and table combo to make her stay extra comfortable. [Read: 14 quick stress busters you can treat your girl to]

#7 Spontaneity is not even in her vocabulary. Busy individuals hate it when something in their schedule is interrupted, and they have to do something that will affect the rest of the day. This is why they plan their schedules in the first place, to avoid these mishaps. And this is where you also get in.

Show her what spontaneity is. You see that she has an hour’s gap in between meetings. You ask if she is not doing anything, she says she’s just trying to catch some sleep. Well, here is your chance to be creative. Tell her that you know a massage place just around the corner, and that you can drive her there right now and be back at least 15 minutes before the next meeting. If she says no, make sure that you have more ideas at the back of your head and present more than 3 ideas. Surely, she will choose one that appeals to her, and one that also involves squeezing in some time with you.

#8 You do not always need to be physically there. Remember her. And let her know that you remember her. Send her a message before the day ends, or send her a message first thing in the morning. You do not need to let her know that you are thinking of her every hour, as she is really busy and this might even bother her.

If not messages, send her packages. Send her flowers at home before she goes home, so when she sees it upon arriving, she’ll just that you remember her and miss her. Send her a gift basket of all the little favorites of hers, like a chocolate that she always eats, or notepads and pens – she will definitely like you more for these small gestures.

#9 I wanted to bring her to a marathon, but she stopped in the middle and went back home. Unless the girl you are dating is a wonder woman tri-athlete, then consider the activities that you will be doing together. Try to lessen any physical activities that will tire her out too much. If you are the sporty, outdoorsy type, then you can compromise by doing an activity that’s physical, but not that tiring. So acrobatic sex marathons may have to be crossed out. Try other activities such as yoga, swimming or even a walk along the beach to keep you both fit, but not tired.

#10 The way to a woman’s heart is also through her stomach. Feed her. People who are tremendously busy usually forget to eat, or they end up munching on instant noodles and microwave dinners too often. Try to cook her favorite dish when you can and send it over to her for lunch. Or better yet, bring it to her and eat with her. That will surely save her time in buying food and eating out.

It will be a rough start trying to get into the patterns of finding free time with her busy schedule, but if you show her that you understand what she is doing and that you are trying to get around it, she’ll appreciate it and love you a lot more for it.

I’ve been enjoying most of the articles here, but I’m sorry this one is pretty lame!!! If there is real love in the air, then both sides need to go out of their way to give and take. This makes the man in this article look like a complete slave and he’d literally be loosing his mind!!

A relationship between the two of you should make both of you stronger. If you have to go out of your way just to see her and talk to her then something is clearly very wrong. You always need to be there for each other, or else, whats the point? Especially when it comes to busy and working women, they need the most support from their man because they’re under a lot of stress constantly. You need to understand that they’re not always going to be available and you need to understand that that’s totally OK. Just make most of your time with her that you do get! Try and do stuff that you’ll both remember, when you do go out. If you’re waiting for a week to go on a date, and the best you can plan out is sitting at home and watching Netflix, than she’s not gonna be very happy. Try and mix it up every time. 🙂

Nothing beats the element of surprise for a busy working girl. I surprised my fiance just two weeks ago. She’s always busy at work and I wanted to do something awesome for her birthday. I invited all her closest friends and also some of my buddies. I booked a place that caters lobsters because she loves lobsters. I told her we were going to one of my meetings. I wanted her to come because it was a special dinner meeting. I was successful in surprising her, of course. Everyone was quite happy that night, especially my fiance.

One of the hardest questions you’re going to ask yourself when it comes to a busy good is whether or not she’s worth it in the first place. I personally don’t mind a busy girl because it avoids all of the hassle associated with not busy girls: why aren’t you texting me all the time? why aren’t you ever the first to call me? whine, whine, whine. However, you’re definitely going to be on the losing side of her schedule, especially during the first little bit. Accept it and you’re in with a shot.

So me and my girlfriend have been together for about a year, which is great cause she really is amazing and i love her very much! There is only one thing though- She’s always very busy. She recently started her master studies and she has a lot of assignments etc. So her reasons for being busy are totally legit. And I’m really proud of her for working so hard on an education. But though I try to be as supportive as possible, it remains hard on me (and our relationship). On one hand I feel as if I am missing something and I’m not getting what I want from her. On the other hand I feel kind of bad for thinking this because it’s not her fault that school is demanding her attention. However I often do find myself thinking “how hard can it be to send a text message in between classes? it takes like 30 seconds.” She also goes to bed very early every day and doesn’t want to spend the night here cause she has class in the morning and i live far away and if she has class later on the day she doesn’t want to sleep here cause here she doesn’t sleep too well. I get that, I really do. But I’m also like, “One night of bad night rest in two weeks should be doable, cant she sacrifice that for me!” Now I only see her once a month and she has a vacation for 2 months coming up but she already started talking about starting with a project in that free time which will probably make her busy again. This also worries me. She loves her job and and school and that’s awesome but I also fear it makes her a bit of a workaholic and she makes herself even more busy. The biggest problem in all this is that I cant talk to her about it. Whenever I do she gets sad and tells me that shes trying her best for me and that me saying I feel like we don’t see each other enough stresses her out even more, though i do not pressure her or ask too much. Now, I”m even scared to tell her I miss her, and I feel like I should be lucky whenever she wants to see me for even an hour . I really dont know what to do so, should I support her and just shut my mouth and be sad without her knowing? I really dont want to loose her, but feeling like this really sucks too. I just can’t seem to get the answer that I was looking for.
